Architect and Engineer Specifications

The themed sound source shall provide [0, 16, 32, 48 or 64]___ channels of audio playback. Each playback channel shall feed a distribution matrix with the same number of input and output channels.

[0, 16, 32, 48 or 64]___ audio inputs and outputs shall have analog connectors. [0, 32 or 64]___ audio inputs and outputs shall have CobraNet connectors.

The source for each input in the distribution matrix shall be selectable between playback, analog or CobraNet via control software and/or automatically on each input channel individually.

All matrix crosspoints shall have individually variable gain and selectable polarity. All inputs, outputs and crosspoints shall have individually variable delay.

All inputs and outputs shall have individually variable parametric equalization. All processing functions shall be live and immediate in response to external control hardware or show software.

Analog audio inputs and outputs shall be equipped with rear panel multipin connectors and shall be electronically balanced. Maximum input and output level shall be +20dBu. Sampling shall be at 48kHz with 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion resolution. Frequency response shall be +/-0.3dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. Dynamic range shall be 102dB unweighted from 20Hz to 20kHz. Total system delay shall be 1.4mS.

[1 or 2]___ internal hard drive(s) of [40, 80 or 160]___GB shall store command sequences as cues and up to 8000 audio files. All show cue data shall be transmitted out the MIDI OUT 1 port in standard MIDI format.

A real time internal clock shall play back audio selections randomly selected or in sequence through the audio playback channels and execute cues randomly selected or in sequence in eight cue lists simultaneously. Firmware shall be upgradable at any time for additional functions and features after installation.

Rear panel MIDI IN 1, MIDI OUT 1, MIDI IN 2, MIDI OUT 2, 10/100Mb/Sec RJ45 Ethernet and 25 pin 'D' GPIO ports shall be provided for loading audio and cue data and actuating functions and providing real time status and cue data. A rear panel power connector requiring a voltage source of 13.8 Volts DC (+/-5%) at 10 Amperes with a suitable barrel-style power connection shall connect to a universal external power supply, certified for operation in all major world jurisdictions and requiring 100-250 Volts AC, 47-53Hz, 4 Amperes maximum.

A quiet internal cooling fan shall be provided for system cooling. The front panel shall have an LCD display with three associated soft defined push buttons and Power On and Power Off push buttons. The front panel LCD shall display a wide variety of operating and functional factors. The unit shall mount in two standard rack spaces (2U).

The unit shall respond to the MIDI Show Control command set and shall be controllable with a variety of third-party software and hardware offerings. Windows & Macintosh software capable of programming and controlling all unit functions shall be freely downloadable from the world wide web at any time.

The themed sound source shall be the AudioBox model AB64BSE-B with [0, 1, 2, 3 or 4]___ AB64DSP-B, [0, 1, 2, 3 or 4]___ AB64ANA-B, [0, 1 or 2]___ CM1-FBP and [1 or 2]___ - [40, 80 or 160]___GB Hard Drive(s)
